The Black Dog, Chilmark
You can find us in Chilmark, ten miles s.w. of Stonehenge, close by the Nadder Valley where we have been a village Pub since the 15th century. The pub was closed for a number of years and given it's age there is not suprisingly work to be done to restore her to her former glory. In the coming months we plan to start that work. Like this website this is a work in progress...and updates and improvement will be gradual. Our kitchen is now open from 12pm and from 6pm Thurs - Sun (Wed Evening is a pop up from 5pm and Sunday from 12pm is Indian / Nepalese fusion.

We are supplied by the St Austell Brewery from Devon and more locally in Fonthill, Stone Daisy for our larger, real ale & cider. We also serve Ghurka beer on draft
We import our wine directly from vineyards in the Languedoc, for our house Rosé, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot & Syrah and our house sparkling wine, which comes from Limoux
Visit & Stay
The pub is traditionally known as the Black Dog Inn, which suggests overnight stays, but at the moment we don't have rooms. We can however recommend some cottages to rent in the village and wild camping in the surroudning area.
